Rotobrush Vent Sanitizing: The Henderson Owner’s Guide
If your Rotobrush vent sanitizing setup has stopped doing its job, we can likely match the part and have it installed the same week, not the same month. Most Henderson owners pay between $185 and $420 for a replacement sanitizing component installed, depending on which Rotobrush model you run and whether the failure is in the spray head, the pump, or the chemical delivery line. You’ll usually know something’s wrong the moment the sanitizer stops misting evenly, leaves a wet patch instead of a fine spray, or the pump starts cycling with a hollow sound.
We’re an independent service provider, not a Rotobrush dealer or affiliate, but Rotobrush equipment has been on our trucks since the beginning. Paul Adeyemi, our owner, has worked with enough Rotobrush units in Henderson homes from Green Valley Ranch to Anthem that he can usually identify the failed part by sound before he opens the case.
Which Rotobrush Models This Applies To
Rotobrush has made several versions of its sanitizing components over the years, and the part that fits an old AiR+ system won’t always mount cleanly on a newer e3 or the classic Viper line. The compatibility gotcha to watch for: the sanitizing delivery line changed from a push-to-connect fitting to a threaded quick-connect around the 2018 model refresh. If you’re holding a push-fitting line in one hand and a threaded port on your machine in the other, that’s the mismatch.
You can identify the right part by checking the label plate on the side of your unit for the series name and checking the fitting style where the sanitizer line meets the spray head. Some owners also measure the line’s outer diameter: older units typically run 1/4 inch, newer ones 3/8 inch. When a customer asks about OEM versus aftermarket, we’re direct: genuine Rotobrush parts cost more but fit without modification, and good quality aftermarket lines and spray heads work fine when matched properly. We’ll quote both and let you decide.

Signs Your Rotobrush Vent Sanitizing Is Failing
Here’s what we actually see on service calls in Henderson and what each symptom points to:
- Uneven mist or single-stream spray. The spray tip is partially clogged or the o-ring inside the head has dried and cracked. This is the most common failure we see, especially in homes where the unit sits unused through the winter.
- Pump cycles but no liquid reaches the vent. Usually the delivery line has come loose at the connection or there’s a small crack near a bend. It looks fine from the outside until you flex it.
- Wet pooling instead of a fine mist. The nozzle’s diffuser screen has fallen out or corroded. Henderson’s hard water accelerates this, and we see it more often here than in softer-water areas.
- Sanitizer smell during application is weak or absent. The chemical pickup tube inside the reservoir has stiffened and no longer seats properly at the bottom, so the pump is pulling air.
- The spray head drips after you shut the unit off. A worn check valve inside the head. It’s a small part, but it makes a mess on the van floor and wastes product.
These are the kinds of things we check in order, top to bottom, so the fix is precise instead of a guess.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Henderson homes, here’s what we typically see, parts and labor included:
- Spray head replacement (OEM or matched aftermarket): $185 – $260
- Delivery line replacement (with new fittings): $140 – $210
- Pump replacement (if the motor has failed): $290 – $420
- Full sanitizing setup (head, line, pickup tube, check valve): $340 – $480
The range mostly depends on which Rotobrush model you have and whether we’re replacing one part or rebuilding the whole sanitizing circuit. What’s included in the price: the part, the labor to install and test it, and a run-through with sanitizer on your system to confirm a proper mist pattern before we leave. Every replacement we do is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the new part doesn’t perform the way it should within a year, we make it right.
DIY or Call Us?
This part of the system isn’t dangerous to work on the way a tension spring or a condenser coil is, so a careful owner can absolutely inspect and replace a spray head or a delivery line. The place DIY usually goes sideways is matching the fitting style to the model year and getting the check valve orientation right on the first try. We’ve had Henderson customers order what looked like the correct part online, only to find the push-fitting doesn’t seat and sanitizer backs up into the housing.
If you want to try it yourself, at minimum check your unit’s label plate and the fitting style before you order anything. If you’d rather have it matched and installed by someone who works with these units every week, call us at (775) 252-8615 and we’ll quote a firm price before we ever touch the unit.
FAQs
Most spray heads in Henderson last three to five years with regular use, though hard water deposits can shorten that to two years if the unit sits idle for long stretches. We recommend testing the mist pattern at the start of every season.
Sometimes. A clogged spray tip can be soaked and cleared, and a stiff pickup tube can be trimmed and reseated. But cracked heads, worn check valves, and failed pump motors are replacement items; repairing them is usually false economy. Call (775) 252-8615 and Paul can tell you which situation you’re in.
Most spray head and delivery line replacements take under an hour from start to tested and cleaning up. A full pump replacement can run two hours. There’s no rush charge and we tell you the time before we begin.
We stock common spray heads, delivery lines in both fitting styles, pickup tubes, and check valves for Rotobrush units, plus compatible parts for Lennox, Trane, and Carrier systems when a repair crosses over into the HVAC side. We’ll confirm what we can bring before we head out.
If your Rotobrush vent sanitizing isn’t running right, call us at (775) 252-8615. We’ll tell you what we find, show you what we cleaned, and leave the house exactly as quiet as we found it.
